Happy Thursday! Here's a mini haul for you guys:
Real Techniques Setting Brush
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
Maybelline New York Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick in 110 Porcelain
Maybelline New York Fit Me Pressed Powder in 110 Porcelain
Maybelline New York Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick in 355 Coconut
Maybelline New York Fit Me Pressed Powder in 355 Coconut
There was nothing I really needed from ULTA but I figured why not experiment a little bit with contouring and highlighting before summer starts. A natural summer makeup look is flat without proper highlight and contour, don't you think? I've wanted to try Real Techniques brushes for the longest time so I figured I'd slowly ease my way into the Real Techniques bandwagon with two brushes I can use for contouring and highlighting. I have been using Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel and Benefit Hoola Bronzer for contouring and as for highlighting, I use Benefit High Beam and a light powder from a palette I got from IMATS two years ago. I feel like it's time to try something new and I decided on picking up Maybelline New York's Fit Me line. I've read and heard rave reviews on both the brushes and makeup line so I think I am off to a good start. I'm crossing my fingers that these work for me, I always welcome cheaper alternatives. I will be updating you guys in a month or two.
OMG, it seems like it's been ages since I went makeup shopping. I do agree, cheaper alternatives are not bad at all. I'm slowly easing my way into replacing my makeup products to being all-natural and animal friendly. So far, I'm obsessing over Tarte. It's not cheap, but it really works for me!

Sounds like a good beauty/cosmetic plan, B. Tarte is a fun brand, I like their packaging too. :)
